Most Wanted Spring Colour Trends

Winter is almost over… bring on the longer days and warmer weather. Spring is also a great time to switch up your look, and what better way to do this than to embrace a new hair colour! To get you inspired for your next salon visit, we asked the pros at HOB to shed some light on what colours they think will be big for Spring 2024 and beyond. Scroll to discover what two trends kept popping up on their radars…

Cherry Cola

When you think of spring and summer colour trends, you probably don’t immediately land on deep red. Normally brighter blonde and beautiful sun kissed brunettes are what come to mind (keep reading if this is more of your thing) - but that’s what makes this trends so refreshing this season.

Thanks to the return of 90’s nostalgia in fashion, red hair trends like Rihanna’s ‘’fire engine red’’ were due for a comeback. But this time round, as the Cherry Cola name suggests, this trend is all about the deeper red and rich purple tones than what we’ve previously seen in the 90’s and 00’s. Think a more luxe and moody finish - nodding strongly towards quiet luxury. It offers a unique twist on traditional darker shades, adding depth and dimension to give it that extra WOW factor.

Our muses for this look are Dove Cameron, Lily Brown and Shay Mitchell.

Beach Lights

Come warmer spring weather, who doesn’t crave a little glow ahead of summer? If you’re into a brightening skincare routine and dewy makeup… beach lights are about to become your must-have colour this season!

The beach lights trend has never been more attainable. Luckily (or unluckily) you don’t need to be fresh from the beach to get the kissed-by-the-sun glowy look. Unlike regular highlights, beach lights are much more softer, subtle and fine, giving your hair a natural highlighted look.

This trend is all about working with the natural colour of the hair, enhancing areas that would naturally pick up light in the sun. This includes hitting those ultra-flattering areas around the face and towards the ends of the hair - the aim is to radiate that summer look.

And it’s not just for blondes either! Beach lights are for all ages, depths and colours - this look can be tailored to you.

Our ultimate muse for this beach lights trends is Rosie Huntington Whitely, but the likes of Kate Moss, Kaia Gerber and Margot Robbie have also been spotted sporting this beautiful trend.
