My Hair Resolution: Self (hair)Care

One of the best perks of my job is the luxury of being able to have my hair coloured, cut and styled as often as I like. Since opting for my latest cut #TheDua from our recent Icon Collection, I’m loving the sleek and straight bob paired with a full head of highlights for that seamless blonde finish. Heat from styling and bleached highlights can work together, but using the best products packed with the most moisturising ingredients is the solution to prevent and cure dry and damaged tresses. I have made a vow to my hair this year that I will be doing two at-home treatments the night before having my hair blow-dried, as well as giving myself an extra 15 minutes in-salon to have a powerful conditioning treatment, because for me, the relaxing head massage is one of the best parts of the whole salon experience!

My Hair Resolution: Scalp & self-care

I’m looking to grow out my hair in 2023 in a cool, yet still practical style. I want to focus on getting regular trims throughout the year, to maintain the good condition of my hair whilst continuing to allow it to grow. My Hair Resolution: Switching up my hair colour:

After having my hair dyed black for so many years, I’m looking for a softer and more natural look this New Year! I’ve been tempted to rock a chocolate brown tone for quite some time and I’ve decided 2023 is the time to take the plunge! Going lighter means making more of an effort into keeping my hair as healthy as possible, so I’ve decided to up my hair game using a 3 step hair care regime that will support me with colour longevity as well as giving me maximum hydration and shine.

My Hair Resolution: Coming out of my comfort zone:

For 2023, I’m after a slight mix up in my style, whilst still having a cut that’s maintainable and feels very ‘me’. I’ve been so inspired by the more 90s style layered ‘blow-out’ styles that have been dominating Instagram and TikTok (of course I look to social media for my inspiration!) and am keen to add some much needed texture and interest to my long hair. I currently have long curtain bangs and some long layers, but would love to mix it up with a cute, shorter fringe and some choppy layers to create a style that gives me the option to wear my hair both straight or wavy.
